The Problem with Palin

Obviously, I will not be covering a lot of new ground with this post. Pundits and Bloggers alike have been beating this dead horse since Pretty McPrettyPants was announced to be the VP Pick.

However, it's my blog dammit, so I'll do what I want.


First, lets look at the positives.

She's gorgeous. She has a "Compelling Narrative." She's a great speaker, and she's got spunk. Her son is going to Iraq. She has a history of cutting government spending in her own home, and has that 'down home charm' of a regular 'guy.' (Note: I know she's not a guy, but regular gal doesn't convey the same type of personality that regular guy does.)

I want to like Palin, I really do. She's a tough broad, and it's inspiring to see chicks kick ass in the good ol' boy's club. She comes across as a straight-shooter. As a person, I think I'd enjoy sharing a beer with her and poppin' off a few shots at the shooting range.


So, what's the Problem with Palin?

Simply, she's a flipping idiot. If you're concerned about the "McSame" mess the Dems are pushing about McCain, then you're REALLY going to hate Palin.



Let's compare Bush and Palin:





I don't buy into the "McSame" argument, even though I agree that there is quite a lot of similarity with McCain and Bush's policy. However, I DO know that we don't need another charming Yahoo Idiot running loose in the White House, which is what we'd have if McCain croaks and Palin's in charge.

These are the stakes, folks. Think before you vote. Remember, you can always lie to your friends about who you voted for... so don't be afraid to pull the lever based on your desire for change instead of your desire for acceptance.
